TBT is working with Johnny Trinh out in Vancouver to bring to life a story that's been sitting in a drawer for a long time. In 2008, Johnny read and loved a play I'd written called 'Variations on a Bowl of Soup,' so much so that he created a mini queer festival in KW to give a reading of the play a home. That was also the first night the Jeff Fox and I danced in performance - which changed our lives considerably.
Over COVID, Johnny brought the play out again and asked to develop it further - resulting in PhoMilglia, an intercultural theatre piece about food. We hope to bring it to Hamilton someday.
