Burlington Shebang Artists Liz Bates, Tomy Bewick, Bridget Bezanson, Lisa Emmons, Leslie Gray, Aaron Hutchinson, Shannon Kitchings and TOS Translators Trevor Copp & Lisa Pijuan-Nomura with Dreamwalker Dance host a public event: close encounters of the creatively collective conscious AKA a cool art event Sunday, June 7, 2015 3:30 - 5pm come and co-conspire with us and stay for a mix and mingle from 5-6pm at Burlington Performing Arts Centre with Burlington/Hamilton based writers, musicians, dance artists singers, actors, costume designers and media artists Unlike the highly polished touring productions that often pass through the Main Stage at the BPAC, this unique collective of Burlington/Hamilton based artists is inviting the public to join them in experiencing various 'encounters' with light, space, sound, time, gesture, text and one another while drawing special attention to the spectacular architecture of the Burlington Performing Arts Centre Family Lobby and the Community Studio theatre. On June 7th from 3:30-5pm the artists will guide an experience that moves us through these spaces. From 5-6pm we hope everyone will hang out and connect at our mix and mingle. The Burlington Shebang is a unique multiyear arts engagement project hosted by the Burlington Centre for the Performing Arts. The project is designed by Dreamwalker Dance Company and brings together local artists and community members working in different forms and disciplines to engage in a collaborative exploration process that is grounded in Dreamwalker's ethos of openness, inclusivity, and diversity
